Hi, I'm Rick Maitri, the man behind the curtain at The WOW Department. I create and manipulate images of all sorts - logos, brochures, posters, displays...you name it. From concept to delivery, my "WOW Department" is quietly open to inspiration and I take pride in design, photography, photo manipulation, retouching, restoration, and photo painting. I'll even do dental work (kidding) and shoot weddings that don't cost an arm and a leg. Having accumulated a good amount of experience in non-linear editing, I can even assemble a musically accompanied video from the photos of your event.

I'm in the business of making your product look good and making your communications as clear as possible. I adhere to the truth that the field of graphic art was created to support and enhance communication (it really was), that it was not created to feed the ego of the designer. I work for YOU to ensure your success and satisfaction. I am dedicated to that.

I've been doing the graphics gig both full-time and freelance since the 1980's and I keep it fresh by continually learning new skills and sharpening my specialities. My latest endeavors include Web development and programming. I could roll out a list of credentials, but what really matters are results like the photos on this page and the work in my portfolio.

The current status of my Web site is much like that of a building contractor's house - a work in progress because the builder is always working on other people's projects and puts his own on the back burner. If I'm busy it means I'm working, and that's a good thing everybody!
